Playing online in co-op is a contemporary pleasure, one of those qualitative leaps given by the game over the last decade in a massive way. It was in the previous generation that the concept of co-op moved massively to the titles, and we discovered significant proposals that allowed us to enjoy in the company of hours and hours of fun. The cooperative was installed in the market alongside the competitive game inventing a new way of playing.
Co-op games on consoles and PCs are many. When a study tries to offer co-op in its proposal, two things can happen. The first is that it is a successful addition; the second is that it is done by mere inertia and does not finish curdling. We are not here to talk about the latter, but about those games that have squeezed the cooperative to the fullest. Here’s a selection of the best collective experiences of recent years.
The best online co-op action and adventure games
- Gears of War 4
The Gears of War saga has always been a guarantee of success when it comes to the co-op. Virtually all of its deliveries are enjoyable in an online company. Still, if we have to keep one, we select the fourth episode not only because it is a visual spectacle, but because it presents an unanswerable quality: the cross overset game with PC. The bullets we fired in the company under The Coalition are the best on Xbox One and Windows.
- A Way Out (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
In our list of the best cooperative games, there is also space for innovation, and that space is occupied by A Way Out by Electronic Arts and Hazelight Studios. Josef Fares’ gamble immerses us in a story capable of catching players for both their narrative and gameplay. It also has a significant strength: you only need one copy to play online, a full detail that we can’t thank enough of.
- Helldivers (PS4, PS3, PS Vita, PC)
Another indie that deserves to be part of this list is Helldivers; Arrowhead’s demanding cooperative action proposal. Up to four players can turn to distant planets to meet targets as they try to prevent dozens of waves of enemies from tearing their characters apart. It’s the closest thing to a stem-quality video game from Starship Troopers that you can play on computers and consoles.
- The Division (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Ubisoft has also captivated us with Tom Clancy’s The Division, a long-standing saga of this generation that already has its second part on its way. Traveling through this Money Sickness New York and full of rebellion while being part of this special forces division is a visual experience that also convinces by its role-playing aspects within third-party action games Person. Highly recommended.
- Destiny 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
In the co-op action games section, it is undeniable that Destiny 2 must occupy a privileged position. Bungie and Activision’s bet has improved what’s seen in the first part, offered more content, and captivated players who enjoyed the original installment. With its campaign, its challenges, and all the content it brings, Destiny 2 is one of the best cooperative experiences we can enjoy.
- GTA Online (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, PS3)
In this universe of AAA games with the cooperative component, we should highlight the heist of Grand Theft Auto with GTA Online, the multiplayer section of GTA V that catches millions of players every month and is the new golden egg hen from Rockstar Games. Its massive community of players and those who enjoy co-op modes like blows know what it’s like to feel part of it. A revolution within the successful studio.
- Ghost Recon Wildlands (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Ubisoft’s open-world video game is an ideal title to enjoy in co-op and, in fact, loses some of its essences when we enjoy it alone, being a much better experience when we form a group of four friends, and we started on missions on a gigantic map full of adventures, drug dealers and, above all, a lot of action.
- Sea of Thieves (PC, Xbox One)
Rare’s new work is designed to be enjoyed in co-op and has already managed to seduce millions of pirates around the world. Control your ship, sail the seas, assault enemies, hunt for treasures, and embark on millions of adventures in a unique game that only needs a little more content to finish exploding.
